Why we should study Jared Diamond?
Jared Diamond is an American scientist and an author known for his books on science. He was born on September 10, 1937 and he still living and working today at the age of 75. He was born in Boston but now lives in Los Angeles , California. He is currently the Professor of Geography at the University of California. He is became the Professor of Geography in his late fifties has a third career. I think that the reason that we are studying him now instead of someone else is because we are in Human Geography and he is the Professor of Geography so he knows a lot about geography. Jared Diamond is also a well known author of many science book. Some of his book include: The World Until Yesterday and Guns, Germs, and Steal: The Fates of Human Societies. Guns, Germs, and Steal is mostly about how societies are failing ro succeeding in what they do. Another book he wrote was How Societies Choose To Fail or Succeed. I also think that we are studying him because he is a very interesting man and knows a lot about the topic that we are learning now. He studied a lot of different topics during his college career. He is a great researcher and has gotten many granted from a lot of colleges around the world. He has a PHD in Philosophy and Geography. This is also a great reason to study him and what he does. He has gone to Papua New Guinea to study ecology. He mostly went there to study the exotic birds.
